Our Social Value Commitment
Pink Academy – Social Value Commitment
At Pink Academy, social value is embedded into everything we do. Our training provision, safeguarding practices and community partnerships are designed to create positive outcomes not only for our learners, but also for their families, local schools, employers and the wider Salford community.
Our social value commitments align with Salford City Council priorities and the National Social Value TOMs Framework, ensuring our work delivers meaningful, measurable and lasting local impact.
Our Commitments
Supporting Local Young People
Pink Academy delivers Alternative Provision (AP) and NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)programmes that support young people aged 14–18 to re-engage with education. We provide a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment that builds confidence, improves attendance and supports positive progression.
Creating Employability & Skills Pathways
Through accredited nail and beauty training, learners develop technical skills, workplace behaviours and self-employment awareness. We actively support progression into salons, apprenticeships, self-employment, further education or higher-level qualifications, helping learners move towards sustainable futures.
Promoting Inclusivity & Wellbeing
We provide personalised support for learners with additional needs, including SEND, EBSA, dyslexia, anxiety and mental health challenges. Our inclusive and trauma-informed approach ensures every learner is supported to succeed within a safe, respectful and empowering environment.
Giving Back to the Community
Pink Academy is committed to community engagement. We support local charities, deliver fundraising initiatives, and open our academy to schools and community groups for workshops, enrichment activities and events such as Pink Parties. These activities strengthen community connections and inspire young people across Salford.
Boosting the Local Economy
Wherever possible, we use local suppliers, support local businesses and create employment opportunities. We promote entrepreneurship and self-employment skills so that the economic benefits of our work are retained within the local community.
Encouraging Sustainability
We are committed to responsible and sustainable practices. This includes minimising waste, promoting the safe disposal of beauty products and embedding environmentally conscious practices within training sessions and daily operations.
Our Impact
Each year, Pink Academy supports young people to gain accredited qualifications, improve confidence and wellbeing, and progress into education, employment, apprenticeships or self-employment. Social value activity is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains aligned with local authority priorities and delivers positive outcomes.
