Welcome to Pink Academy — a specialist alternative education and vocational training provider supporting young people aged 16–25 with EHCPs, SEND needs, additional learning needs, anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance and learners who may not thrive within mainstream college settings.

At Pink Academy, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed within education, regardless of the challenges they may have faced previously.

Our provision has been designed to provide a calm, welcoming and highly supportive environment where learners can rebuild confidence, develop independence, gain nationally recognised qualifications and prepare for adulthood, employment and future opportunities.

We understand that for many learners, traditional education environments can feel overwhelming. Our aim is to provide an alternative pathway where learners feel safe, supported, understood and motivated to achieve.

Our Provision

Pink Academy offers vocational and educational programmes within the beauty and nail industry, alongside personal development, employability skills and support towards Maths and English development where required.

Who We Support

We support learners aged 16–25 who may:

  • Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

  • Experience anxiety or emotionally based school avoidance

  • Have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • Have ADHD or additional learning needs

  • Require a smaller educational environment

  • Have struggled within mainstream school or college settings

  • Be at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)

  • Need support with confidence, social interaction or emotional wellbeing

  • Require an alternative vocational pathway into further education or employment

Every learner is treated as an individual and support is tailored around their needs, learning style and future goals.

Learners develop practical industry skills within a real salon-style training environment while also improving communication, teamwork, professionalism and customer service skills.

Where appropriate, learners may also receive support towards:

EHCP Outcomes & Preparation for Adulthood

Our provision is designed to support learners in working towards the outcomes identified within their EHCP.

We focus heavily on Preparation for Adulthood outcomes, including:

Learners gain vocational qualifications and workplace skills to support future employment, self-employment or further training.

Independent Living Skills

Learners are encouraged to build independence, confidence, organisation and responsibility within a professional environment.

Community Inclusion

We support learners in developing communication skills, social confidence and positive peer relationships.

Emotional Wellbeing

Our supportive approach helps learners rebuild confidence and engage positively within education.
